Cruise Loch Ness & a visit to the Loch Ness Exhibition Centre
Scotland’s most famous Loch, known around the world thanks to its elusive monster. Loch Ness is 23 miles long and over 700ft at its deepest making it Scotland’s largest Loch in terms of volume. The Loch Ness Monster, Nessie, is undoubtedly the biggest attraction in the area. There have been rumours of a beast in the water since the 7th century but the first recorded sightings date back to 1933. The legend of Nessie remains unproven but explore this area to see for yourself! As well as the monster, Loch Ness has many other attractions including Urquhart Castle. A former royal castle, Urquhart has witnessed some of Scotland’s most dramatic history. Enjoy a cruise on Loch Ness to fully enjoy the stunning views followed by a visit to the Loch Ness Centre and Exhibition in the village of Drumnadrochit.
Mallaig
This busy fishing port lies on the north west coast of Scotland along the famous Road to the Isles. Soak up the local atmosphere and relax or adventure out and enjoy one of the many short walks around the harbour.
Glencoe, Rannoch Moor & Oban
Glencoe is undoubtedly the most popular and scenic glen in Scotland. The sheer scale and grandeur of the landscape is sure to inspire and the turbulent history of the area will fascinate visitors. Then visit nearby Rannoch Moor - one of Scotland's outstanding areas of natural wilderness, before heading to the west coast. The largest town in Argyll & The Isles, Oban is known as the 'Gateway to the Isles' and is the 'Seafood Capital of Scotland'. Oban has a way of drawing out the romantic side of visitors, with its mists that roll in from the sea and the hills which overlook the bay. The most iconic feature within Oban is McCaig's Tower, a Colosseum lookalike that stands above the town and offers wonderful views out west. From seafood to whisky, Oban offers a great range of local produce - all well worth sampling!
